I just stumbled across this page and figured I would share. Sometime in early June I found and decided to grow some seed that were sitting in a drawer, I had collected years ago from various bags of weed. 2 germinated and the one that looked ugly for a while actually ended up growing better in the end, and being the only female. Grown in a mix of horse manure, chicken manure, native clay-silt soil, with grass clippings for mulch. I’ve also chopped and dropped various weeds from around the yard to feed the plant. My only pest control has been the various chives, nasturtiums, and other herbs nearby. It currently smells very fruity, so I am quite excited.
