Originally Hugelculture mounds, I had this idea to build up the sides to make them level so watering would be easier. It’s a no till garden so every fall I use the sheet composting method or lasagna technique and add layers of compostable material to build up the surface as the buried logs underneath further break down. I feed through the flowering cycle but up until this point I’ve given them very little food, a couple light top dressings of chicken manure but it’s been water only.
