Question regarding purple pot buds…
I have 4 different strains, 3 of them bought as clones from different places and those 3 are in different containers. The other 1 I started from seed and is in the ground. I have been feeding them all the same. The three strains in containers (a few in aerobags and a couple in plastic pots) all have purple buds and I can’t figure out why. The one in the ground is a distance away from the container plants and does not have purple buds.
I always thought purple in the actual bud was in the genes, a certain phenotype that can be brought out in certain conditions. I know cold weather can cause some purple or red to show especially as the light cycle gets shorter but this is right in the bud, not the leaves at all.
Any ideas why these different strains (none of which are typically purple strains) are all deep purple??
It’s pouring out right now so this is the only picture I have of the purple buds, the plants look healthy to me otherwise. The white bud is girl scout cookies and the other strains that are all purple are jack herer, durban poison and white rhino.
